Why displaced families in Lebanon need help

Fighting that escalated in March 2026 has pushed more than a million people out of their homes. Many are sheltering in public buildings, and many have had to flee more than once.

What is happening

Evacuation orders covering southern Lebanon, parts of the Bekaa Valley, and areas of Beirut have driven people from their homes. On 2 April 2026, Lebanese authorities reported that more than one million people had been displaced, with over 136,000 of them in collective shelters.

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) says many of these families have been displaced several times, which leaves them less able to cover even basic needs. The UN and the Lebanese government launched a flash appeal for $308.3 million to cover March through May 2026.

These figures date from March and April 2026. For current numbers, check IOM and UN OCHA.

Why we started

Karim, Ridha, and Nathaniel are high school students with Lebanese roots. They visit Lebanon every summer to see family, so watching the news hit close to home.

They started the fundraiser because they could not watch and do nothing. Adetayo joined as assistant founder and executive director, and others have helped since.

Where donations go

Donations pay for care packages for displaced families. Each package holds food that keeps, hygiene products like soap and toothpaste, and whatever else families tell us they need.

We deliver them in Lebanon with local organizations. Our partners are Beit el Baraka and the American Task Force on Lebanon.
